Capital Health Plan Named Among "America's Best Health Plans"

CHP rated top health plan in Florida

Capital Health Plan (CHP) has once again received national recognition. CHP today announced it was rated as the top-ranked commercial and Medicare health plan in Florida. In the rankings published in the 2008 U.S.News & World Report and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) issue of “America’s Best Health Plans ” CHP was one of the top 25 commercial plans in the nation with a rank of 23 and one of the top 10 Medicare plans in the nation with a rank of 7.

CHP Announces Investment in Nursing Education

Investment in FSU, FAMU and TCC to alleviate capital region’s nurse shortage

Capital Health Plan (CHP) announced it will invest over the next five years a total of $1.5 million in nursing education programs at Florida State University, Florida A&M University and Tallahassee Community College. The initiative is aimed at alleviating a growing nursing shortage in this area and throughout Florida. Demand for new nurses in Florida is expected to grow by nearly one quarter or more than 36,000 new jobs by 2014.

The Silver Stars Celebration is one of Tallahassee’s premier senior recognition events, honoring a select group of people for their special contributions. The Tallahassee Senior Center, which spearheads the event, invites the community to nominate Silver Stars.
